Add your first resource
Add a PDF, manual, video, article or link to your ResourceHub library on Shopify. ResourceHub supports four resource formats: File, Video, Article and Link. Choose what you want to add, add its details, then organize it and connect it to products or SKUs as needed.
Go to ResourceHub › Resources, then click Add Resource.

A file you upload, such as a PDF, Word document, spreadsheet, image, manual, or certificate.Video

- Drag and drop your file onto the upload area, or click to browse.
- Add a title.

- Paste the YouTube or Vimeo URL into Video URL.

Add an existing blog post
- Select Article, then Add an existing blog post.
- Click Add blog post.
- Choose the post you want. It links to this resource.
- After it is linked, click Edit blog post to change the post's title, content, visibility, or other Shopify blog post details. The post's visibility comes from the Shopify blog post, and ResourceHub reflects it in the Status card.
- Optional: check Featured to pin the article to the top of your library.
- Optional: connect the resource to the Products it supports, or feature it on relevant Collections.
- Optional: add Additional Details, such as Language, Resource Type, or your custom fields.
- Optional: add ResourceHub Categories and Tags. These organize the ResourceHub resource and are separate from any tags on the Shopify blog post.
- Preview Image comes from the Shopify blog post. Edit the Shopify blog post to change it.
- Click Save.
Shopify visibilityThe post remains publicly accessible on your store.
Create a new blog post
- Select Article, then Create a new blog post.
- Click Create blog post.
- Add the title and content, set Visibility, and complete any other Shopify blog post details you need.
- Click Save. The post is created in Shopify and linked to this resource automatically.
- After it is linked, click Edit blog post to change the post's title, content, visibility, or other Shopify blog post details. The post's visibility comes from the Shopify blog post, and ResourceHub reflects it in the Status card.

- Optional: add Additional Details, such as Language, Resource Type, or your custom fields.

Shopify visibilityThe post's visibility comes from the Shopify blog post. ResourceHub shows Status as Set when you create the blog post before the post is created.
- Select Link.
- Paste the URL into the URL field, then choose what happens when the link is clicked: Open link in a new tab or Download linked file.
- Add a title.
Required: a URL and a title. The link gets its own page in your library, and you choose whether customers open the link in a new tab or download the linked file.
- Set the Status. Choose Active to make the resource live for customers, or Draft to keep it hidden while you finish it. You can also set an expiry date.
- Optional: add a Short Description, or check Featured to pin it to the top of your library.
- Optional: add Page Content. Every resource gets its own branded, editable page with SEO, so customers can find it on Google and open it directly. Upload a new version and the URL stays the same, so links you have shared or printed keep working.

- URL handleThe end of the page’s URL. Generated from the title, editable.
- Prevent indexingHide this one page from search engines without changing its status.
- Optional: connect the resource to the Products it supports, or feature it on relevant Collections.
- ProductsLink the resource to the products it belongs to. This connects it to that product and its SKUs, so customers can search by SKU and find all related resources in your library. It also lets ResourceHub show related resources on both product pages and resource detail pages.
- CollectionsFeature the resource on relevant collection pages when you want it shown to customers browsing that group of products.
- Optional: add Additional Details. These fields make a resource easier to find, filter, and understand, both for customers searching your library and for search and AI tools reading it.
- LanguageThe language the resource is written in, so customers can find the version they need.
- Resource Types & Custom FieldsChoose what kind of file it is, such as a Manual, Datasheet, or SDS. Choose what kind of video it is, such as a How-To / Tutorial, Installation Guide, or Case Study. Choose what kind of article it is, such as an Application Note, Case Study, or How-To / Tutorial. Choose the Resource Type that best describes the linked content. Click Add / Manage in the Resource Type field to add your own, or hide the default ones you do not need. You can also create custom fields to fit your business. Your plan sets how many you can create.

- Optional: organize your resources with Categories and Tags. Parent categories build your library structure. Subcategories and tags help customers narrow down what they see.
- CategoriesParent categories become the main menu and section pages in your library. Subcategories act as filters within those sections, and anything uncategorized appears in the All tab. Click Add new category in the Categories field to create one. Leave Parent category as None (Top Level) to create a main category. Select an existing parent category to create a subcategory.
- TagsUse tags as additional filters to help customers narrow down resources without adding another level to your library structure.

For PDFs, ResourceHub automatically generates a thumbnail after upload. Click Edit to change the Preview Image. You can use the image from the first linked product, generate a thumbnail when available, or upload your own image. Click Edit to change the Preview Image.
